Choose this when the fobs are 125 kHz, or when the customer stays on Mifare Classic.

Windows 10 and 11 connect the reader by themselves and the ID goes straight into the keyboard buffer, so it works in any program without ID Microserver 2 or any other software. Reads UID on both 125 kHz and 13,56 MHz.

If the customer has MX Door Read or Touch readers and is willing to update their firmware, look at REM291.USB-MF with secure TF1 ID fobs instead — that is the more secure route.

It is capable of working with 125 kHz ID media such as EM Marin or Jablotron, as well as 13.56 MHz media (ISO 14443, Type A), e.g. MIFARE Classic®, MIFARE Plus®, MIFARE® DESFire®, NFC. It connects to the computer’s USB port and is powered from it.

The reader automatically detects Windows 10 (11) and sends the read ID values to the keyboard buffer.
